- City CouncilThe City of Franklin Common Council consists of seven members who serve as the legislative branch of the City of Franklin. The members are elected by voters in their district and each member serves a four-year term. The city council meets the first and third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are open to the public, and held in City Hall, located at 70 E. Monroe Street.

Professional Profile
Jamie Beck first came to Franklin Parks and Recreation Department in 2009 working as an intern for 4 months. She moved to a part-time position for 11 months before becoming the full time Administrative/Human Resources Coordinator in the spring of 2010. Her current title as of 2020, is Facilities and Events Coordinator. Some of her duties include: overseeing Beeson Hall operations, all of the indoor facilities at the recreation center, two off-site buildings, and all of the outdoor facilities in the parks. Jamie also coordinates the community events alongside Holly Johnston.
Jamie is a 2009 graduate of IUPUI where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with an emphasis on Exercise Science and a Certificate of Personal Training.
