- City CouncilThe City of Franklin Common Council consists of seven members who serve as the legislative branch of the City of Franklin. The members are elected by voters in their district and each member serves a four-year term. The city council meets the first and third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are open to the public, and held in City Hall, located at 70 E. Monroe Street.

The Dog Days of Summer are done, but we want to give our furry friends some water time! Join us for our 3rd annual Doggie Pool Day and Pet Fair at the Franklin Family Aquatic Center. Please register at the Cultural Arts & Recreation Center before you enter the facility. Along with the availability of the aquatic center, we will be having vendors that will be focused towards our four-legged friends! Doggie day will be held on Tuesday, September 4th from 5-7pm. Small dogs (under 35lbs) will be from 5-6pm and big dogs (35lbs+) will be from 6-7pm. Each dog is $5. We will only have the zero-depth pool open for this event. *If you would like to be a vendor at this event, please contact the Aquatics Director, Kendall Paris kparis@franklin.in.gov.
