All are welcome to the Johnson County Indiana Bicentennial celebration on September 23, 2016. This festival is in celebration of the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay passing through Johnson County.

The torch is scheduled to arrive Downtown Franklin around 5-5:20pm. There will be a presentation of the torch to the County Commissioners and town representatives. Officials, torch bearers and torch nominees will be introduced along with a brief history of the county. A ribbon cutting for the community showcase will follow the ceremony. Johnson County Museum of History, Greenwood Public Library, Johnson County Public Library (Indiana), and Franklin College for a History Celebration will showcase their history and the official Bicentennial Legacy Project. All booths will feature the unique qualities of each community in Johnson County.

Look forward to a car show, food vendors, beer and wine garden and more! The Franklin Community Band will perform an Indiana-themed concert to celebrate the BicenTUNEial. Tastes Like Chicken will follow at 7:00p.m. and food vendors will be available. Please join us as we celebrate our history and bright future.
