- City CouncilThe City of Franklin Common Council consists of seven members who serve as the legislative branch of the City of Franklin. The members are elected by voters in their district and each member serves a four-year term. The city council meets the first and third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are open to the public, and held in City Hall, located at 70 E. Monroe Street.

Come celebrate the Summer Solstice with us by participating in a 5k run/walk, a 1-mile family fun walk, and a pool party! Bring the whole family out to celebrate the beginning of summer with this exciting event! All proceeds donated to support the 501(c)3 non-profit Girls on the Run Johnson County. Date & Time: Saturday, June 18th
Check-in: 6:00 pm
Race begins: 6:30 pm
Pool party immediately following from 7-9 pm
Pre-register online until June 17th. You can also register the day of the race.
