- City CouncilThe City of Franklin Common Council consists of seven members who serve as the legislative branch of the City of Franklin. The members are elected by voters in their district and each member serves a four-year term. The city council meets the first and third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are open to the public, and held in City Hall, located at 70 E. Monroe Street.

The Franklin College Wellness Program and the Franklin Parks and Recreation Department are teaming up to put on ZUMBA Fest 2012! It will be held on Franklin College's Branigin Field on Saturday, September 29th for Angee Poe.
Angee Poe is a graduate of Franklin College, is an active member of the Franklin Parks and Recreation Department, and a single Mom. In April of this year Angee was in a car accident and suffered a severe brain injury. She is currently undergoing treatment at Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Our hope is that through Zumba Fest, we can raise some money to offset a portion of the expenses she has incurred over the past four months.
