- City CouncilThe City of Franklin Common Council consists of seven members who serve as the legislative branch of the City of Franklin. The members are elected by voters in their district and each member serves a four-year term. The city council meets the first and third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are open to the public, and held in City Hall, located at 70 E. Monroe Street.

PRESERVATION GROUP HOSTS HISTORIC HOME TOUR
Tour Includes 8 Historic Franklin, Indiana Homes
Franklin, IN- Local non-profit preservation group, Franklin Heritage, is hosting a self-guided tour of historic homes in downtown Franklin. Currently, 8 homes are set to participate in the bi-annual event.
The event will be held Saturday, September 15th, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 16th, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tickets and programs will be available both days of the event at the Franklin Heritage tent on the Courthouse Square. Tickets are good for admission both Saturday and Sunday.
