- City CouncilThe City of Franklin Common Council consists of seven members who serve as the legislative branch of the City of Franklin. The members are elected by voters in their district and each member serves a four-year term. The city council meets the first and third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are open to the public, and held in City Hall, located at 70 E. Monroe Street.

Demonstrations at 1pm
They will be demonstrating four different water safety exercises:
1. How to properly use a Personal Flotation Device
2. Using a rope bag to throw to a distressed person in the water
3. Lifeguard(s) rescuing a distressed swimmer
4. Underwater SCUBA diver
They will set up early to answer questions before the water demonstrations.
