- City CouncilThe City of Franklin Common Council consists of seven members who serve as the legislative branch of the City of Franklin. The members are elected by voters in their district and each member serves a four-year term. The city council meets the first and third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are open to the public, and held in City Hall, located at 70 E. Monroe Street.

Pursuant to Indiana's Open Door Law (specifically Indiana Code ยง 5-14-1.5 et seq.), this Open Door Notice is made to advise all that the City of Franklin, Indiana Common Council, Economic Development Commission, and Redevelopment Commission will hold a joint meeting as follows:
WHAT: TIF 101 Panel Discussion, sponsored by the Franklin Redevelopment Commission and Johnson County Development Corporation
WHEN: Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
WHERE: Beeson Hall, 396 Branigin Blvd, Franklin. Beeson is actually on the southwest end of the Franklin Cultural Arts and Recreation Center located at the corner of Branigin Blvd and South St.
The presentation and discussion will be facilitated by Dr. Larry DeBoer, Professor of Agricultural Economics, Purdue University and Ms. Loren Matthes, Principal, Umbaugh & Associates. An agenda is attached.
