- City CouncilThe City of Franklin Common Council consists of seven members who serve as the legislative branch of the City of Franklin. The members are elected by voters in their district and each member serves a four-year term. The city council meets the first and third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are open to the public, and held in City Hall, located at 70 E. Monroe Street.

FRANKLIN REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
Pursuant to Indiana's Open Door Law (specifically Indiana Code ยง 5-14-1.5 et seq.), this Open Door Notice is made to advise all that the City of Franklin, Indiana Redevelopment Commission will meet on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. to hold a special meeting to complete a walking tour of the properties, commonly known as the GC Murphy Building, located at 56/58 East Jefferson Street, Old City Hall, located at 55 West Madison Street, and vacant lots along Jackson and Wayne Streets. The meeting will convene City Hall, Council Chambers, 70 East Monroe Street, Franklin, IN 46131 at 8:00 a.m., followed by the walking tour, and then reconvening at City Hall, 70 East Monroe Street for the conclusion and adjournment of the special meeting.
