- City CouncilThe City of Franklin Common Council consists of seven members who serve as the legislative branch of the City of Franklin. The members are elected by voters in their district and each member serves a four-year term. The City of Franklin, with the assistance of the Franklin Development Corporation, has obtained a planning grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs to conduct a structural survey and limited number of more in-depth facade design renderings and construction plans for commercial properties in downtown Franklin at no cost to property or business owners.The architectural firm Moody Nolan has been retained to assist with the planning grant effort. Based on the results of the structural survey, a limited number of properties will be selected to receive additional work in the form of exterior facade design renderings and construction plans. The overall project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2011.
The informational meeting will be held in the Council Chambers of City Hall. You will not only be able to hear the details of this project but have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have.
