- City CouncilThe City of Franklin Common Council consists of seven members who serve as the legislative branch of the City of Franklin. The members are elected by voters in their district and each member serves a four-year term. The city council meets the first and third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are open to the public, and held in City Hall, located at 70 E. Monroe Street.

Event Description:
The Johnson County Historical Society presents Time Travelers History Camp, July 26th - 30th at the Johnson County Museum of History in downtown Franklin, Indiana. Children who have recently completed the 3rd or 4th grade are invited to join us at the Johnson County Museum of History for the week-long History Camp. Campers will attend each day from 9 am to noon, beginning Monday July 26th through Friday July 30th. Children will learn about historical time periods with gallery tours, participation in craft activities, games, and presentations. Each camper will receive a snack each day, related to the time period they are studying.
Participation is limited to 20 children who will be admitted on a first come, first-served basis. Cost is $20 for members of the Johnson County Historical Society and $25 for non-members. Registration form and fee (cash or check) must be received by July 2, 2010. Registration forms may be picked up at the Johnson County Museum or you may e-mail bcundiff@co.johnson.in.us to have the form sent to you.

3rd and 4th grade students must register by July 19th$20 for Hist. Soc. members, $25 for non-members
