- City CouncilThe City of Franklin Common Council consists of seven members who serve as the legislative branch of the City of Franklin. The members are elected by voters in their district and each member serves a four-year term. The city council meets the first and third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are open to the public, and held in City Hall, located at 70 E. Monroe Street.

Babysitter's Training
This course gives 11 to 15 year-olds the knowledge, skills and confidence to care for infants and school-age children. Combining video, activities, hands-on skills training and discussion for the most complete learning experience, this course teaches participants to:
· Perform first aid and get professional help fast
· Identify common safety hazards and prevent injuries
· Make good, responsible decisions
· Supervise infants through school-age children
· Choose safe and age-appropriate toys and games
· Perform basic care: diapering, feeding and dressing.
Each participant will receive a Babysitter's Handbook. Please bring sack lunch and drink to program. Sign up by Feb. 1. Ages 11-15
