- City CouncilThe City of Franklin Common Council consists of seven members who serve as the legislative branch of the City of Franklin. The members are elected by voters in their district and each member serves a four-year term. The city council meets the first and third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are open to the public, and held in City Hall, located at 70 E. Monroe Street.

An old fashioned July 4th celebrated on the Boulevard! It's the place to be! Join us as we celebrate our great nation and wonderful city we live in! The Sparkler Sprint 5K will be at 8:00 a.m., check in at the Franklin Cultural Arts and Recreation Center. Events to be held late afternoon and evening are kid's games, on-stage entertainment and FIREWORKS!
Events will take place at the Indiana Masonic Home fountain area. Bring an old-fashioned picnic dinner or purchase food from the IMH food tent. We'll also have all-day fun and games at Franklin Memorial Swimming Pool. Call 736-3698 for detailed information closer to date.
