- City CouncilThe City of Franklin Common Council consists of seven members who serve as the legislative branch of the City of Franklin. The members are elected by voters in their district and each member serves a four-year term. The city council meets the first and third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are open to the public, and held in City Hall, located at 70 E. Monroe Street.

Professional Profile
Derrick has been the Parks Operation Supervisor at the Franklin Parks Department since October 2019. His main job duties include supervising part-time employees and helping keep the Franklin parks clean and manicured to the highest of standards. He also does routine maintenance around the city of Franklin and supports staff with downtown festivals and city events. Derrick has an Indiana chemical applicators license and recently started doing all the parks irrigation maintenance. He is looking forward to all of the new irrigation at the new Youngs Creek Amphitheater coming soon to Franklin!
